Nick Thomas

Nick Thomas is an artist based in Rotterdam, originally from the UK, working with moving image and sound. He studied at the Glasgow School of Art and the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam. He has been involved with various artist-run projects, such as Transmission Gallery and Glasgow Open House Arts Festival. His work tackles relationships between form and politics, with a particular interest in the aesthetics of coexistence, radical histories, and self-organising. For the past several years, he has been working in collaboration with Marta Hryniuk. Hryniuk and Thomas are founding members of WET film, a Rotterdam-based film and video collective, and are members of Filmwerkplaats, an artist-run lab for 16mm film processing.
